Why did you create Meal Deals?

We created Meal Deals to help people save time & money and get more value for their hard earned money, by quickly and easily searching for restaurant specials, deals, coupons, and more near them. Meal Deals offers restaurants an innovative and SAFE marketing ingredient to serve success for their restaurant. To help Mother Earth. Meal Deals is environmentally friendly as it saves trees from being cut to print coupons and other flyers Although we are living in a great time with wonderful technological advancements, we are also living in unprecedented times where there has been a constant increase in the cost of living, and it can be difficult to make ends meet. With increasing rents, and food prices it can be difficult to enjoy life. This applies to most of us, but especially to students, new immigrants, refugees, those on work permits, etc. And searching for deals and savings is time consuming and inconvenient. So many sites are littered with unhelpful information and irrelevant ads, or it's only the larger businesses who can really afford to regularly advertise. Our mailboxes at home are constantly flooded with flyers and coupons, and it is alarming how many of them go directly in the recycling or go unused or aren't with you when you want to use them! Using the power of Big Data, we created Meal Deals to allow users an easy way to save time & money and get more value for their hard earned money when going out, by quickly & conveniently searching for Daily Specials, Buy-one Get-one deals, Happy-Hours & Drink Specials, Prix Fixe, Coupons, Group Coupons, Birthday Deals, Last-minute Specials, New Product Launches, and more near them. Everyone loves saving money, especially when it is as easy as a quick tap on your phone! And it's environmentally friendly too, as it gives all restaurants a digital platform to advertise vs. mail flyers and coupons! For every 20 restaurants who replace their printed coupon or flyers with one Meal Deals listing, we save at least one tree worth of paper. With thousands of restaurants replacing printed coupons or flyers, and using Meal Deals instead, we can save forests worth of paper, and help reduce how many trees are cut for coupons and flyers. Our restaurants have also been impacted by these increases. High commercial rents, increases in costs of food, and labour wages leave little to no budget for marketing. Plus most restaurant owners are busy running their restaurants, which requires a tremendous amount of daily work, and that leaves them with little time for marketing. So we also wanted to create an innovative marketing ingredient that would be SAFE (Simple, Affordable, Fast, and Easy) and serve success for restaurants!

Why don't I need to create an account or sign-up to use Meal Deals?

Meal Deals' founders were tired of having to create accounts on websites just to access some freely available and useful information. Most of these sites then share or sell your email and other user information, or constantly spam your inbox. They didn't want Meal Deals to do that. Meal Deals doesn't even have an account creation option! We do allow users to register (if they want to) for our bi-weekly newsletter, where we only share coupons and new deals near you.

The Meal Deals Pro Plan with every feature in Meal Deals costs restaurants less than $0.99 per day!

Meal Deals' founders were tired of the constant cookies and tracking on most websites today. The internet and technology have democratized information. We do not need to be invading people's privacy in exchange for information. Meal Deals does not want to know anything specific about you, nor information about your device. Meal Deals' founders were tired of the constant cookies and tracking that plagues most websites on the internet today. We can't just visit a website anymore without first accepting or managing the cookie settings for the site. Also, once you visit a website, you are almost guaranteed to see some reminders of your browsing behaviours being tracked - think ads that are targeted towards you and similar messaging. We are all tired of those spam calls for duct cleaning or scammers pretending to be the tax man. Even twenty and thirty year olds get their digital accounts hacked by sophisticated scammers. Data breaches pose serious security risks for all involved. So many people resort to using Incognito modes or browsers with stronger pre-set privacy controls when browsing the web. With the internet and the democratization of information, we do not need to be invading people's privacy in exchange for information. Meal Deals does not track its users or use cookies. Meal Deals doesn't know who you are, and we respect your privacy. We do monitor what pages are visited on Meal Deals, and when and where they are visited from. These standard analytics are used to continue to monitor and improve your experience. Nothing specific about you nor information about your device is recorded by us.

If all or most of our Users request native apps for their phone, then we may consider, as our purpose is to help and serve you!
